Prompt library for JustAnswer

As a UX content strategist for JustAnswer, I created an AI prompt library for the Expert Operations (ExOps) team, an internal platform for storing, sharing, and retrieving content templates. This way, my colleagues had the best large language models (LLMs) prompts available in one place, saving time and effort.

My co-workers used this platform to generate email campaigns, articles, video scripts, and community posts for our channel.

Think of LLMs as software assistants, each with distinctive capabilities.

LLM strengths:

  • ChatGPT: Writes code and critiques your logic, reasoning, and content strategy with a nuanced eye.
  • Claude: Creates natural and human-like conversations for engaging content.
  • Google Gemini: Analyses massive text data and explains logic behind findings.

By creating, testing, and improving prompt templates for different LLMs, we managed to beat deadlines and deliver high-quality work faster.

What is prompt chaining?

Prompt chaining means dividing a large task into smaller, thematically related prompts so that the LLM focuses on one step at a time.

Each prompt builds on the last, connected by a shared purpose, breaking the task into smaller pieces that logically flow together. By organising a strategic, sequential flow of instructions, the LLM will better understand the context, purpose, and specific requirements of the task.

  1. Clearly define the LLM’s role
  2. Provide essential background information
  3. Set specific guidelines for language and brand representation
  4. Confirm the AI’s understanding before proceeding

From prompt chains to GPTs

ExOps’ journey with AI didn’t stop at prompt chains. We took it a step further by developing single use-case GPTs.

GPTs are customised versions of ChatGPT that you train for specific tasks or topics, combining instructions, knowledge, and capabilities, freeing up colleagues to focus on more strategic tasks.

ExOps members now use these bots to generate email drafts, rewrite blog content, or get task-specific assistance, all while maintaining JustAnswer’s brand voice and policy standards.
